【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversmartensiticstainlesssteelandalloysteelcastingsforvalves,flanges,fittings,andotherpressure-containingparts(Note1)intendedprimarilyforhigh-temperatureandcorrosiveservice(Note2).1.2Onegradeofmartensiticstainlesssteelandninegradesofferriticalloysteelarecovered.Selectionwilldependondesignandserviceconditions,mechanicalproperties,andthehigh-temperatureandcorrosion-resistantcharacteristics(Note3).Note18212;Carbonsteelcastingsforpressure-containingpartsarecoveredbySpecificationA216/A216M.Lowalloyquench-and-temperedgradesequivalenttoSpecificationA217/A217MgradesmaybefoundinbothSpecificationsA352/A352MandA487/A487M.Note28212;Thegradescoveredbythisspecificationrepresentmaterialsthataregenerallysuitableforassemblywithothercastingsorwroughtsteelpartsbyfusionwelding.Itisnotintendedtoimplythatthesegradespossessequaldegreesofweldability;therefore,itistheresponsibilityofthepurchasertoestablishforhimselfasuitableweldingtechnique.Sincethesegradespossessvaryingdegreesofsuitabilityforhigh-temperatureandcorrosion-resistantservice,itisalsotheresponsibilityofthepurchasertodeterminewhichgradeshallbefurnished,dueconsiderationbeinggiventotherequirementsoftheapplicableconstructioncodes.Note38212;Thecommitteeformulatingthisspecificationhasincludedninegradesofmaterialsthatareconsideredtorepresentbasictypesofferriticalloysteelssuitableforvalves,flanges,fittings,andotherpressure-containingparts.Additionalalloysteelsthatmaybetterfulfillcertaintypesofservicewillbeconsideredforinclusioninthisspecificationbythecommitteeastheneedbecomesapparent.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.
