【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesacoolingtimeversustemperaturecurve(profile)thatcanberelatedtophysicalproperties,suchasthehardnessobtainableuponquenchingofametal.Theresultsobtainedbythistestmethodmaybeusedasaguideinquenchantselectionorasacomparisonofquenchseveritiesofdifferentquenchants,neworused.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheequipmentandtheprocedureforevaluationofquenchingcharacteristicsofaquenchingfluidbycoolingratedetermination.1.2Thistestmethodisdesignedtoevaluatequenchingfluidswithagitation,usingtheDraytonAgitationUnit.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
