【摘要】:1.1Thesetestmethodsdeterminetheshearpropertiesofstructuralpanelsassociatedwithsheardistortionoftheplanesparalleltotheedgeplanesofthepanels.Bothshearstrengthandmodulusofrigiditymaybedetermined.Primarily,thetestsmeasuretheplanarshear(rollingshear)strengthdevelopedintheplaneofthepanel.1.2Structuralpanelsinuseincludeplywood,waferboard,orientedstrandboard,andcompositesofveneerandofwood-basedlayers.1.3Twotestmethodsareincluded:1.3.1TestMethodAPlanarshearloadedbyplates.1.3.2TestMethodBPlanarshearinducedbyfive-pointbending.1.3.3Thechoiceofmethodwillbedictatedbythepurposeofthetestandequipmentavailable.1.3.4TestMethodA,PlanarShearLoadedbyPlatesThistestmethodusesarectangularpanelsectionadheredbetweensteelplateswithprotrudingknifeedgestocreateloadatthepanelfaces.Thistestmethodhasbeenusedtodevelopshearpropertiesofplywoodandorientedstrandboardforthepurposeofconfirmingdesignvalues.Thistestmethoddoesnotproducepureshear,butthespecimenlengthisprescribedsothatthesecondarystresseshaveaminimumeffect.Themethoddeterminesshearstrengthandmodulusofrigidity.1.3.5TestMethodB,PlanarShearInducedbyFive-PointBendingPlanarshearstressisinducedonthepanelwhileloadedinbendingusingtwocontinuousspans.Thistestmethoddeterminesplanarshearstrengthconsistentwithpanelapplicationsundertransverseloading.Thistestmethodisabletodetermineshearstrengthatanymoisturecondition.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.4Thespecimenhavingtheformofarectangularflatplateisbondedbetweensteelplatesbeveledatoppositeendsofthespecimentoprovideknifeedgesforloadingtheplateatthefacebondedtothespecimen.Theknifeedgesprojectbeyondtheendsofthespecimen.Thistestmethodisconductedbyloadingtheknifeedgesincompressionatauniformratewhileasuitablegagemeasuresslipbetweentheplatesduetospecimendeformation.Shearstrengthiscomputedfrommaximumload,andeffectiveshearmodulusforthespecimenisdeterminedfromaplotofloadversusslip.1.5Specimensaretestedinatwo-spancontinuousbeamsupportconfigurationwithlineloadsappliedatmidspanofeachspanasshownin.Inducedshearstressesareconsistentwiththosedevelopedinconventionalpanelapplicationsundertransverseloading.Specimensmaybetestedinanymoisturecondition.Note1Researchthatledtothedevelopmentofthetestmethodisavailable.,Researchonthetestmethod''susefulnessfordeterminingelasticconstantsisalsoavailable.
